Daily Disposable Lenses

Daily disposable lenses are ideal for patients who want to have the option of changing between their contacts and their glasses from day to day. There is little to no maintenance involved as you simply throw the lens away at the end of the day. They are also great for travelling as you don’t need to pack any solutions.

Monthlies

Similar to fortnightly lenses, monthly disposable lenses are best suited to patients wanting to wear contact lenses on a daily basis. One pair of lenses lasts for an entire month, meaning this is a more cost-effective way of wearing contact lenses regularly. These lenses also need to be cleaned and stored in solutions when not in use. We offer a wide range of contact lens solutions suitable for all types of lenses in store.

Toric Lenses

It is not uncommon for people to have an astigmatism; this means that the cornea or lens of the eye is shaped more like the curve of a rugby ball rather than a football. Lens companies have allowed for this common occurrence, and there are a variety of lenses to choose from. If you are worried that your prescription isn’t suitable for contact lenses, book in for a contact lens assessment with one of our optometrists who will be able to advise you on what is available.

Fortnightlies

These lenses are more suited to those patients who wish to wear contact lenses more regularly. One pair of contact lenses lasts for two weeks, you can wear them everyday and take them out in the evenings. There is more maintenance involved with these lenses, they need to be cleaned regularly and stored in solution when you aren’t wearing them.

Multifocal Contact Lenses

If you are a bifocal or varifocal user, it is still possible to get a contact lens that works for you. Multifocal contact lenses can accommodate your need to switch between distance vision and near vision without the use of glasses.

Ortho-K Lenses

Orthokeratology is when a special contact lens is fitted to reshape the cornea. These contact lenses are designed to be worn overnight whilst you sleep rather than during the day. They work by gently and gradually reshaping the surface of the eye meaning that when you take them out in the morning, you should be able to see clearly throughout the day, without the need for any other lenses or glasses. If you are interested in learning more about these specialised lenses, get in touch and we will book you in for an assessment with one of our expert optometrists.
